Simpsons Malt is still the largest totally independently family
owned malting company in the UK with an annual output of approx.
240,000 tonnes of malt produced in 3 sites. With experience gained
since its formation in 1866, the company manufactures a wide range
of quality malts, including speciality roasted malts, for the brewing,
distilling, and food industries.
Simpsons only use cereals that
have Assured Grain (*ACCS/SQC) status with full traceability in
their malt production. Apart from being one of the founding members
of the Assured UK Malt Scheme, Simpsons are also Accredited to
ISO 9001:2000, and FEMAS Standards, and are members of MAGB (Maltsters
Association of Great Britain), and BFBi (Brewing, Food & Beverage
Industry Suppliers Association).
