The Beavertown Extravaganza hit London on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th September and we were proud to be a sponsor of this sold-out event.
Taking place at the Printworks in London, the two-day event showcased some of the best brewers in the world and celebrated all things beer and brewing with an audience of passionate beer fans.
As part of our sponsorship, Simpsons Malt was responsible for the Volunteer Hospitality crew – lovingly nicknamed the ‘skullenteers’ – the team who help brought the event to life. Our support went towards kitting them out in branded t-shirts, to be easily spotted!, feeding them and providing a ‘chill’ area while they were on break
Armed with our branded Beavertown 100ml glasses we (and our pals at Represent) set out to sample the beers on offer from over 70 breweries, including Thornbridge Brewery, Wylam Brewery, 40ft Brewery and Cloudwater.
Each brewery rotated two different types of beer over the two days, giving attendees a chance to taste a variety of what each brewery specialises in – and what a variety that was. From IPAs to Sour Ales, Imperial Stouts and everything in between!
It’s not just about drinking beer at the Beavertown Extravaganza though (although that is very important!), in between sampling, we soaked up the atmosphere, caught up with brewers, chatted to beer lovers and took part in some of the organised talks, breakout sessions and seminars curated by top beer journalists throughout the two days. A true beer-ducation!
Big congratulations to the team at Beavertown Brewery for what was a brilliant two-day extravaganza – we’re already looking forward to next year!
