Craft Beer Calling, 2018 Wylam Brewery – What to expect

Craft Beer Calling is back at Wylam Brewery from the 18th – 20th of October, serving up a unique selection of beers from the finest brewers in the land, and we’ll be there to join in the festivities!

Will you be heading over to Newcastle? Here’s what to expect from what’s guaranteed to be a brew-tiful weekend.

Beers

Craft Beer Calling has invited selected breweries to serve up their best brews over this three day event. You will have a chance to sample some delicious beers from Northern Monk, Magic Rock Brewing Co., Beavertown and Wylam, just to name a few.

It’s the perfect event for adventurous beer drinkers or those with a passion for craft beer.  Grab your glass (sponsored by yours truly!) and get tasting…

Meet the brewers

Each individual brewey runs their own bar, and there will be in-the-know members of the brewing teams on hand to answer any burning questions you want to ask them.

If you hear a group of people loudly discussing the merits of different malt variations, it’s probably us – come and say hi! We love a good chat.

Other drinks

As you may have guessed, we love beer, but we know it’s not for everyone – and the Craft Beer Calling folk know that too. That’s why in addition to the number of brews they have on tap, they’ll also have a gin palace, a wine cellar AND a craft cider cellar.

That means there’s no excuse not to head over to Wylam Brewery for this awesome festival.

Street Food

There will be delicious food aplenty to accompany your beverage of choice – as yet, the vendour details have not been confirmed, but if the recent beer festivals we’ve attended are anything to go by, we’re expecting gourmet grilled cheeses and plenty of mouthwatering Mexican food. Mmmmm.

Live music

If good beer and good food wasn’t enough to put you in a good mood, then live music should do the trick! Some fun local bands will provide the backing track to the best weekend ever.
