Last year we had a brew-ly good time in Liverpool at SIBA BeerX, and we can’t wait to do it all over again later this month.
SIBA BeerX is back on the 13th and 14th of March at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre. There will be a whole load of things to see and do, and all on our favourite topic: beer.
If you’re attending, here’s what you can expect at this month’s SIBA BeerX 2019…
Training & workshops
Masterclasses from a whole load of industry experts will be available to attend. If it’s important to the brewing industry, someone will be there to talk about it. Everything from exporting to taking on apprenticeships, beer retail, and the use of hops and yeast will all be discussed. Grab your notepad and pen and don your thinking cap – there’ll be a lot of knowledge dropping here.
Trade exhibition
Brewers, distributors, maltsters, hop masters and more will be exhibiting throughout the weekend, with loads to sample and discuss about the industry. Got a question? Ask the exhibitors – they know everything there is to know about their area of specialism.
SIBA Independent Beer Awards
The search has been on since last April to discover the best independently brewed cask, craft keg and small pack beers. Gold winners have already been chosen from each of SIBA’s eight regions, and now the hotly anticipated overall winners’ announcement will be made on the 14th of March. Exciting stuff indeed.
Fringe events
Although the main attraction takes place at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre, there will be other smaller venues hosting supporting events throughout the city. Think of it like a film festival… but with beer. There will be tap takeovers and afterparties galore, with more events to be announced during the main event… keep your ears to the ground!
