As proud supporters of the local community, Simpsons Malt recently got behind Eyemouth High School and its project to design, build and race an electric car with Greenpower Education Trust.
The UK based charity, Greenpower Education Trust, inspires young people to excel in science, technology, engineering and maths through motorsport.
Using the kit provided, paid for by sponsors, the pupils in the technical department at the High School have been constructing the car since September 2017.
The team are now taking it to East Fortune Airfield in East Lothian for a Greenpower race day.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Simpsons Malt vice chairman, Richard Simpson, said: “This has been an incredible project for these young people to be involved in and we are so proud to be able to have helped make it happen.
“Good luck in the race!”
