The Simpson McCreath Trust is proud to announce its latest sponsorship initiative. The board will sponsor the fifth annual Berwick Literary Festival in October.
Taking place between 18th – 21st October, the Festival will showcase a range of local, national and international writers who will contribute to a number of talks, workshops and events. Poetry, performance, culture, history and politics will all feature as part of the annual festival.
Speaking of the sponsorship, board member David McCreath said, “We are very happy to support this local festival. Run entirely by volunteers and funded through donations, the Festival is a great example of the local initiatives within our community that we are passionate about supporting.”
Funds donated by The Simpsons McCreath Trust will be put towards the hiring of venues, meeting the expenses of contributors, and arranging activities for local children including the reading of poetry at local care homes.
