Granary Operator (Gladsmuir Granary)

Key Tasks: 

• Tipping lorries into barley holding bins, grain drying and maintaining high standards of hygiene on the intakes throughout the day.
• Loading of lorries with loading shovel.
• Operating driers, conveyors and elevators.
• Forklift shunting.
• Use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP).
• Taking drier samples.
• Basic site maintenance.
• General site cleanliness.

Key Requirements: 

• Flexibility with working hours. 
• Basic computer skills, especially when programming equipment and ensuring machine controls are set correctly. 
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Granary experience preferred, however full training will be provided. 
• Good team player. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Be able to work without supervision.
