Production Operator - Malt & Barley Team (Tivetshall)

Production Operators:

• Engage fully in relevant Health, Safety and Environmental training.
• Ensure general hygiene and housekeeping of site is maintained to a good standard.
• Ensure that plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
• Running and cleaning of production equipment - training will be given.
• Operation of forklift around the site as required.
• Grain sampling and other quality checks.
• Entry of process data into computer software. 
• Assist with the safe and efficient day to day running of the site.

Key Attributes (essential):

• Full driving license, use of company vehicle may be available or mileage expenses for working at other sites as and when required.
• Be able to demonstrate initiative and work independently.
• Ability to work co-operatively with others as part of a team 
• Have a flexible approach to working hours particularly at peak times of the year. 
• Good communication skills to develop working relationships. 

Key Attributes (desirable): 

• Forklift truck; Operator certificates.
• IOSH Working Safety.
• Experience of grain storage.

This position is very much a hands-on role and involves direct daily involvement with production performance and quality standards. 

Due to the working environment Health and Safety is a high priority and you will be expected to maintain and drive this forward.
