Crystal Light
Crystal Light is a delicate crystal malt that delivers gentle toffee, honeyed sweetness and light dried fruit notes, alongside a rich golden-amber hue (95-113 °EBC).
It enhances body, mouthfeel and malt complexity, making it ideal for malt-forward ales and Bitters, where a balanced caramel sweetness and light colour enhancement are desired.
Crystal Light has a bright, clean sweetness, without the deeper toffee or burnt sugar notes of darker crystal malts.
Typically used at 5-15% in the grist, Crystal Light adds subtle malt complexity and residual sweetness while allowing hop and yeast character to shine through, making it a versatile choice for brewers seeking delicate caramel undertones without overpowering the beer.
