A heritage barley variety, it used to produce the premium quality base malt with high extract, high enzymic activity and low nitrogen content.If you’re thinking about trying out our Low Colour Maris Otter, here are some important things to know about.

Taste & flavour
Low Colour Maris Otter gives off a fresh and malty flavour without impacting the overall colour of the brew.

Usage
Traditionally used in pale ales, Low Colour Maris Otter is a fantastic all-rounder.  Kilned at a low temperature, this malt is perfect for Cask IPAs, Light Coloured Ales and superior modern beers. Its low nitrogen content and high extract result in a high-performing malt which can be used up to 100%.
