Simpsons Malt is proud to sponsor Berwick’s Curfew Run again in 2018, providing t-shirts for all the runners.
Organised by the Tweed Striders, the annual event, now in its 22nd year, begins outside the Berwick-Upon-Tweed Barracks on the 4th of July 2018.
As part of their continued commitment to supporting the local community, Simpsons Malt are delighted to be a part of this traditional event, as Richard Simpson explains: “We are thrilled to again be involved in such a popular event that has a great community feel and is growing in popularity. As always, we are encouraging the Simpsons Malt staff to take part.”
Commemorating the ringing of the curfew bell, the aim of the race is to run the 1.2 mile perimeter of the town walls before the bell chimes come to an end.
Caroline McDermott from Tweed Striders said: “The Curfew Run has grown in popularity over the past few years and it’s thanks to Simpsons Malt that we are able to continue putting on the event. We are expecting a record turn out this year.”
Good luck to everyone taking part!
