Pierre took one year to complete the diploma comprising of three modules covering every stage of the malting process – Raw Materials, Processing and Health, Safety & Environment.

Speaking about his achievement Pierre said: “The diploma was a really interesting experience and I found it incredibly useful to cover the malting process from farmers growing the raw material to maltsters producing the final product, especially as we learnt from the point of view of each of the contributors. I am so thankful to Simpsons Malt for supporting me throughout my studies.”

Richard Simpson, Vice Chairman of Simpsons Malt, said: “Pierre is the third member of our team to complete the diploma and we are proud to support our employees in further education that will not only enhance the individual but also our service as a company overall.”
