Simpsons Malt Limited releases 2025 Sustainability Report

We are delighted to be able to share with you our 2025 Sustainability Report.

The annual report provides a comprehensive overview of our fifth-generation, family business and outlines developments made on the many ongoing sustainability projects and initiatives as we seek to achieve net zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions and carbon neutral malting barley and distilling wheat production by 2030.

In the past 12 months, we have reached several key milestones, including our first B Corp recertification and the commissioning of the renewable Energy Centre neighbouring our Tweed Valley Maltings. This has reduced the malt production carbon footprint at the UK’s largest malting site by 72%, while reducing Scope 1 & 2 emissions company-wide by up to 55%.

But, as always, our approach goes beyond environmental impact alone. The report also captures how we’ve supported our colleagues, customers, suppliers and communities throughout the past year.
